Dad Braids Club: Settling Into Fall

Simple mornings, steady rhythms, and a few new tricks.

Estimated read time: 2 min

🧠 Today’s Idea

Our fall schedule is finally settling in.

Even with a lot of projects moving at work, it feels good to have some regularity back at home. Of course, that doesn’t mean every morning is smooth — we’ve had our share of rushed starts and simple styles this week.

But that’s the beauty of this season: even the basics are enough when we show up with presence.

🌀 Braid of the Week

This week’s standout was the Lace to 3-Strand Braid.

Definitely not the simplest style — it’s more of an intermediate-level braid — but once you get the hang of it, it’s such a fun transition braid to have in your toolkit.

✂️ Hair Hack

We got a warning from school this week that lice had popped up in another class. 😬

So I made a video on lice-prevention hairstyles — because keeping hair pulled back and braided is one of the simplest ways to lower the risk.

📸 Community Highlights

I’ve got a couple of big things cooking behind the scenes right now… and I can’t wait to share at least one of them with you next week. Stay tuned — I think you’ll love it.

🗳️ Poll of the Week

What’s the best fall activity with kids?

P.S. Last week I asked: Whats the hardest part of braiding (or even trying)?

The winner: Making it look clean & neat

Good to know - I’ll make some more vids on this soon!

✌🏻 Final Thought

Not every week has to be epic. Sometimes just settling into the rhythm, finding your flow, and keeping the mornings moving is enough.

And in this season of life, enough is often perfect.
